Important notice: Temporary Closure of The Grange Restaurant during Covid-19 coronavirus
While The Grange Restaurant remains temporarily closed to keep our customers, volunteers and staff safe, we are taking the opportunity to complete some gentle alterations to the kitchen and serving areas – all with the aim of making your experience with us even better when we re-open in September!
Meanwhile, customers are invited to join us at our new outdoor kitchen, Little Grange, throughout the summer.
Join us in the heart of the beautiful Chiltern Hills, at our elegant, relaxed and accessible new restaurant, The Grange at Saunderton. Serving delicious and healthy breakfasts and all day food and drink, together with freshly roasted coffee, Sparkling Afternoon Tea with Prosecco and a mouth-watering selection of cakes, you can pop in for a refreshing snack or linger over Sunday lunch.
Couples, friends and families with or without children or dogs can enjoy a warm welcome, and leave knowing that your visit supports Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’s life-changing charitable work.
Parents – relax!
The whole family is welcome, The Grange has become a firm favourite with families. We love having children here, which is why we have developed the Little Pups menus designed for those with smaller appetites.
Parents will also appreciate the milk-warming station for babies, highchairs for toddlers and clean baby-changing facilities.
We have recently installed a brand new, weather-proof play dome as a safe play area for children to enjoy.
Families can explore countryside walks nearby, or simply drop into the Gift Shop for stylish toys or pocket-money presents.
A dog-friendly setting
Being the home of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, of course there’s a warm welcome for four-legged friends!
Dogs are welcome inside The Grange Restaurant, with ample seating outside too and doggie treats and water available. The Grange is perfectly situated to enjoy walks in the beautiful Chiltern surroundings, with maps of local walks soon available to our visitors.
In time, we look forward to introducing extra delights including an agility course, dog grooming and dog training lectures to really enhance our visitor experience – and of course to further boost the Charity’s funds.
Accessible to all
Our new building boasts an elegant and relaxed setting which has been created with acoustics and accessibility in mind – making people with deafness and hearing loss our top priority.
It offers the perfect opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of hearing, as well as the vital work of both charities involved, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and Hearing Link.
With a state-of-the-art hearing loop, acoustic flooring and ‘sound clouds’, everyone’s listening experiences are enhanced.
Staff and volunteers will be trained in deaf and hearing loss awareness, and wheelchair users will also be able to navigate easily to the venue.
The Hearing Hub
Locals and visitors from further afield are welcome to visit The Hearing Hub at The Grange – a unique new service which offers useful products, information and advice on how to manage your hearing better.
In our quiet area, a qualified, practising audiologist and our trained volunteers, who have a sensitive understanding of the problems you face (most of them have a hearing loss), are on-hand to help.
Please book your 40-minute session in advance to allow for personal one-to-one uninterrupted time. While our regular sessions run on Fridays, we can also offer alternative days with sufficient advance notice. To book, please email email@example.com, call/SMS 07725 742608 or call 01844 348100.
